Watford sign Brazilian defender Samir

Watford signed the central defender Samir from Italian club Udinese in a three an a half year
deal until 2025.

The 27 year old Brazilian man played 147 appearances for Udinese in Serie A, they signed him from Brazilian club Flamengo

in the summer of 2016.

Samir is the second signing for Watford of the January transfer window when the Hornets had signed the left back defender

Hassane Kamara from French club Nice.

In recent years Watford try to sign few players with Udinese that the club’s owner Gino Pozzo is the son

of the Italian club Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo.

The Hornets have not announced about Samir’s transfer market fee but they intend to sign and bring more talented

players to the club in order to strengthen their position as they will fight until the end to survive in the English

Premier League top flight to another season.

Watford are 17th in the table with 13 points from 18 matches so far this season.
